The Students’ Cultural House Chess Club was established in November- December 2014. The new chess club has been equipped with 30 chess sets for competitions, models approved by FRŞah and FIDE, 20 chess clocks for trainings and contests, models approved by FRŞah and FIDE, two sets of chess- game demonstration. This equipment will allow the club to host chess meetings and chess classes at the highest levels and to organize chess contests. This year, the Students’ Cultural House Chess Club will organize The Students’ Cultural House Cup, the first edition of the Chess Contest for Youth, Cluj- Napoca 2015.
For now, the days of Wednesday and Thursday were chosen, the weekly date of class and training pending to be settled during the 2015 year according to both the participants’ and the members’ schedules, as well as the schedules of the other clubs from the Students’ Cultural House Chess Club.
First encounters regarding learning and practicing chess have taken place having and average of 10-15 students per session.
